The Short Version.
Valenzuela Fence is a small, family-owned business. We collect the minimum information needed to give you a fence quote, communicate with you about your project, and improve our website. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone except the vendors we use to actually do business (like our CRM and email tools). You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing info@valenzuelafence.com.
If you want the full details, read on.

Who We Are.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by Valenzuela Fence LLC ("Valenzuela Fence," "we," "us," or "our"), a Colorado limited liability company providing custom cedar fence installation, repair, replacement, deck restoration, and related services across the Denver metropolitan area.
This policy covers our website at valenzuelafence.com, our marketing landing pages including marketing.valenzuelafence.com, and any phone, text, or email communications you have with us.

Information We Collect.
Information you give us directly
When you fill out a quote request form, contact form, or assessment survey on our site, we collect:
- Contact details: first name, last name, email address, phone number
- Project location: street address, city, state, ZIP code
- Project details: property type, project type, desired timeframe, and any additional notes you provide
- Communication preferences: whether you've consented to SMS messages from us
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, time spent, and how you arrived at our site (referring URL)
- Standard server log information
Information from advertising platforms
If you arrive at our site by clicking a Facebook, Instagram, or Google ad, those platforms may share with us anonymized information about which ad you clicked. We use this to measure ad performance — not to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information.
We use the information you provide for the following purposes:
- To provide quotes and complete projects: contact you about your fence project, schedule visits, deliver estimates, and perform agreed-upon work
- To communicate with you: respond to inquiries, send appointment reminders, share project updates, and provide customer service
- For marketing (with your consent): send occasional emails or SMS about new services, seasonal promotions, or care tips for your existing fence
- To improve our website and services: analyze how visitors use our site, fix technical issues, and develop better service offerings
- To comply with the law: meet our legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights and the safety of others
We will never use your project information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you without human review.

SMS & Text Message Communications.
Because text messaging is regulated under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and similar laws, we want to be especially clear about how we use it.
Opt-in is required
We will never text you unless you've explicitly opted in by checking the SMS consent box on one of our forms. By checking that box, you agree to receive:
- Transactional messages (appointment confirmations, project updates, schedule changes)
- Occasional promotional messages (seasonal offers, service reminders)
Message frequency & rates
Message frequency varies based on your project status and engagement. You may receive anywhere from 1–2 messages per month during normal communication, with higher frequency around active project scheduling. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply.
How to stop messages
You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You'll receive one final confirmation message and then no further texts. To rejoin later, reply START or contact us directly.
Help & support
For help with our SMS program, reply HELP to any message, or text HELP to (720) 650-8158. You can also call us at (720) 790-3088 for assistance.
Mobile information sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third parties for marketing purposes. We share it only with the SMS service providers required to actually deliver your messages (currently GoHighLevel and its underlying carrier networks).

Payment Information.
If you make a payment to us — whether a deposit at the time of signing, a progress payment during your project, or a final invoice payment — we want to be transparent about how payment information is handled.
We don't store your card details
Valenzuela Fence does not directly collect, process, or store credit card numbers, debit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive payment credentials on our own systems. All payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processors.
Payment processors we use
Depending on the payment method you choose, your payment information may be processed by one of the following:
- Stripe — for credit/debit card payments and ACH bank transfers via secure online links
- Square — for in-person card payments at your home or our office
- Zelle / your bank — for direct bank-to-bank transfers
- Your bank — if you pay by check (we record the check number for our records, nothing more)
Each processor has its own privacy policy and security practices. We recommend reviewing them if you have specific concerns about a payment method.
What we DO store
We retain limited transaction information for accounting, tax, and warranty purposes:
- Transaction date and amount
- Payment method type (e.g., "Visa ending in 4242" — never the full number)
- Project association and invoice number
- Authorization status from the processor
Refunds & chargebacks
If you request a refund or initiate a chargeback, we may need to share relevant transaction details with our payment processor and your card issuer to resolve the matter. This sharing is necessary to process the refund and is limited to what's required.
Tax records
We retain payment and invoice records for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with IRS recordkeeping requirements. After that period, payment records are securely destroyed unless ongoing warranty or legal matters require retention.
Security
Online payments made through our website use SSL/TLS encryption. The payment processor's secure form is loaded directly from their servers — your card information never passes through our website.

How We Share Information.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers we use to run our business
We share information with vendors who help us operate, including:
- GoHighLevel — our customer relationship management (CRM) platform that stores your contact details and project information
- Email service providers — used to send transactional and marketing emails
- Website hosting and analytics providers — to keep our website running and understand traffic
- Payment processors — Stripe (online card/ACH), Square (in-person card), and your bank or ours (for checks/Zelle); all are PCI-DSS-compliant and process payment data on their own secure systems
- Subcontractors — if specific specialty work is needed (rare; most work is performed by our in-house crew)
All vendors are required by contract to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
Legal compliance
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers
If Valenzuela Fence is ever sold, merged, or acquires another business, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would notify you in advance and give you the opportunity to opt out.
